Dear Reader,
Phew! The files for our fall issue are being processed by our printer as we speak. Another issue in the hopper, and to say I’m exhausted is an understatement. Completely tapped out, mentally and physically, but I think this one is even better than our debut.
I swear to you, Reader, I love this. Just to create one single, pure and beautiful magazine (with zero sponsored content or puff pieces done as favors, etc.) makes me feel like I can die happy. To create two is a luxury very few people in media/publishing are ever afforded.
One of my favorite mantras is art through adversity. And, boy, did this issue have its share of adversity. However, just like the saying goes, I probably wouldn’t have any faith in the art if it didn’t.
Thank you for sticking with us on this journey. I hope you enjoy the issue. As always, our subscribers help to keep us alive, and we do our best to put on shows and events to reward that support.
Speaking of which, there’s still time to RSVP for our fall issue kickoff party at Counterpath next Friday, Sept. 27. If you’re a subscriber, you get free entry and a +1. Drinks are FREE, courtesy of Ratio Beerworks. There’s live music by Random Temple, and the whole event is emceed by comedian Matt Greenwaldt.
Click here to RSVP (only accessible to paid print subscribers).
